I didn't walk in the wrong building yes! Score. Okay be serious now Sarah.
I never thought I would find myself sitting in a large, desk filled, office environment-ed room, only hearing the sound of quick typing, thinking about how I'm going to organise my blog in which I will talk about my experience during my first ever internship, (or should I say Teen Turn-ship) in Globoforce. There's no doubt that I will get lost in this place, it's like venturing through a maze of highly skilled people, working away at their laptops, with a coffee by their side. I got a tour around here, but I still have a feeling I'll get lost, I'll let you all know though so don't worry.
Teen Turn have given me this opportunity, which I'm very grateful for. They have collaborated with a variety of tech companies and gave girls with an interest in IT, the chance to work in a company as such. This is to prove that women can pursue STEM careers and battle against the typical gender stereotypes in this sector!

I have an adventure of 2 weeks ahead of me, where I will engrave myself in the world of technology, feeling like a careered woman,
but hey,
I'm only a 16 year old girl thinking about what career I want to pursue in life.
Hi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteNiambh here from CoderDojoGirls, I was one of the speakers on the day. I really enjoyed reading your blog, and loved the fact you changed the background pink! I used to do that too! Keep up the good work with the blogging.
N..
Thanks so much Niambh! Yeah I was delighted with myself getting the background color pink through HTML haha, glad you enjoyed reading my blog!
