Day 8

AUGUST 11TH

Have you ever seen the inside of a computer? Well today Becky and I were working with the engineers of the company who are in charge of the help desk and we got shown what their job basically consists of. Did you know that only men work in this part of a company? Now I need that "you go girl!!" feeling back! Also, have you ever been in a servers room? 
Later we had afternoon tea. I feel like it's great that even during  lunch, it's not boring, there was always something to funny or interesting to talk about, infact, the female members were talking about their career choices as a child and how their career paths lead to working in Globoforce. It was full of laughter and the luckiness of being in such a nice company, hit me again. We were also given cute little pastries, talk abut mini carrot cakes!! (I should've taken a picture of them but I mean, I think that would be too much)

After the cute session, we got to work with a software engineer. She would explain to us what she was doing, task by task. We got to see her work in action, and it was gripping to see a diligent  woman, so dedicated to her work and trying to piece out whatever her task is. It's refreshing seeing women doing these things. Also, being 16 and able to relate to work related Facebook posts,
is pretty cool.
